I so enjoyed reading about my birthplace, 1945. My mother retired from teaching at West Central on West 7 th Street in 1974. I grew up in Baxter Springs; married and moved to Tulsa where we raised 5children.

My daughter married an Edmond boy and graduated from Central State.

My grandparents had a lead and zinc mine on their property just across the state line in Oklahoma. I only saw the revenants of it, but did pick up rocks with lead and zinc when visiting the farm.

Thank you for a well written book and so many memories of my childhood.

I live in Utah. I was at the library the other week and came across your books. I started reading and fell in love with your books. You don’t swear, or cuss and how nice, not too have to skip a number of pages with the characters because of any embarrassing scenes. I will recommend your books to everyone I know. I love learning about the different areas of history in Oklahoma. Thank you so much and please keep up your writing. You are amazing!!!

I think the little libraries are a great idea. I was looking for a new author to read and became lucky when I found your “Fort Reno Series.” I found the first two delightful. And looking forward to reading “The Major’s Daughter”. I am looking forward to reading more of your series.
