I so enjoyed reading about my birthplace, 1945. My mother retired from teaching at West Central on West 7 th Street in 1974. I grew up in Baxter Springs; married and moved to Tulsa where we raised 5children.

My daughter married an Edmond boy and graduated from Central State.

My grandparents had a lead and zinc mine on their property just across the state line in Oklahoma. I only saw the revenants of it, but did pick up rocks with lead and zinc when visiting the farm.

Thank you for a well written book and so many memories of my childhood.

And this is exactly why I have thought for years that you needed a blog! You are hilarious, witty and brilliant! I am going to thoroughly enjoy reading it! The world domination part still has me laughing. In a icompletelyunderstandbecausemychildrenarealsobentonworlddomination kind of appreciation. I absolutely cannot wait to read your first novel!
